The three things that made me the owner of this amp are crossovers, channels and price.
The crossovers are so versatile that you can use this amplifier as the only signal
processor and amp in many kinds of systems. I use it as '2-way' to drive a sub (1 or 2 voice
coils are both usefull) and the component system on front. It can also be used for a
system that has sub+front and rear speakers/components, or you can use the monochannel
for sub, the front/mid channel for the midrange and the rear/high channel for tweeters.
And everything can be done with only this one gadget!
The subwooferchannel can be used at 2 ohms, but when I tried my sub at 2 ohms I didn't quite like it so now I'm using it at 8 ohms. Might be that my 'not-ready-yet' powercables weren't quite up to the job, will check that out later. One very important point for me was that now I don't have to have that cablemess all over the car like before. In my last installation I had separate corssover and three amps (I had 2 subwoofers at the time) and compared to that this is heaven now :-) |
